This painting was for MBDA who are developing the Meteor missile for the Typhoon. Meteor is a Beyond Visual Range Air to Air Missile which, it is planned, will be efficient in evading counter-measures, and able to hit manoeuvring targets. This is to be achieved by its asymmetric design and throttleable rocket motors.

It is not due to enter service with the RAF and several other buyers until 2013.
