Airbus A330-200
The corporate logo of Air Mauritius, carried on the tail of their A330-200 registration 3B-NBM, is the Phaelon Rubicola or Paille-en-Queue, a legendary fish-eating tropical bird.
The paradise island of Mauritius is the largest of the Mascarene Islands found in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar. Endemic to the islands is a species of shrub and small tree called Trochetia which grows in no other place in the world. It is fitting therefore that Air Mauritius named this aircraft “Trochetia”.
